AI Generated Content Policy

Management Journal for Advanced Research (MJAR) supports the responsible, transparent, and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automated tools in scholarly publishing. AI technologies may assist authors, reviewers, editors, and the Editorial Office in certain tasks; however, all academic, ethical, and editorial responsibilities remain with human contributors.

Policy for Authors

Authors may use AI or automated tools for language editing, grammar correction, translation, formatting, or other editorial assistance. If generative AI has been used to create, revise, summarise, interpret, or substantially modify any part of the manuscript beyond routine language editing, authors must clearly disclose its use at the time of submission. The disclosure should specify the AI tool used and briefly describe how it was used during the preparation of the manuscript.

Authors are fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and scientific validity of their work. They must carefully verify all AI-assisted content, including facts, references, data, tables, figures, and interpretations before submission.

Artificial Intelligence tools or automated systems cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot take responsibility for the published work or fulfil the requirements of authorship.

Generative AI should not be cited as a scholarly source or reference unless its use is the specific subject of the research.

Policy for Peer Reviewers

Peer reviewers are expected to maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts, figures, tables, datasets, or other confidential materials should not be uploaded to publicly available generative AI systems or automated tools that may retain, process, or reuse submitted content.

Peer review reports must reflect the reviewer's own independent academic assessment. AI should not be used to generate reviewer recommendations or editorial opinions. Limited use of AI for improving grammar or language in review comments may be acceptable, provided confidentiality is maintained and the reviewer remains fully responsible for the final review. Where AI-assisted language editing is used, reviewers remain fully responsible for the content and accuracy of their review comments.

Policy for Editors

Editors are responsible for making independent editorial decisions based on the quality, originality, scientific merit, peer-review reports, and ethical standards of the journal.

AI or automated tools may be used to assist with administrative or technical tasks, including language editing, manuscript screening, and similarity checking. However, AI must not replace editorial judgement, and all publication decisions remain the responsibility of the Editor.

Editorial Use of Automated Tools

MJAR may use automated tools to support editorial workflows, including plagiarism or text similarity screening, metadata management, language assistance, and research integrity checks. The results generated by such tools are always reviewed and verified by the Editorial Office before any editorial decision is made. Automated tools support, but do not replace, independent editorial judgement.

Human Oversight

All editorial decisions, including manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection, are made by qualified editors. AI and automated tools serve only as supportive technologies and do not replace human expertise, editorial responsibility, or ethical accountability.

Non-Compliance

Failure to disclose the use of AI where required, submission of misleading AI-generated content, fabrication of information, or misuse of automated tools may result in editorial action, including manuscript rejection, withdrawal, or retraction, in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy.
